New Business!

I have a new business! I now sell the beautiful flexi-clips made and sold by Lilla Rose. Versatile, stylish, easy to use and just plain pretty they are great for every day or special occasions. Keep them for yourself or give them as gifts. Check out my site under the important links list on the side bar.

And they don't have to be used just for your hair!

Brown Floral and Green/Brown Polka Dot

This bag I made for one of my younger sisters right before we went to a conference. This is the smallest size that I will be selling and measures 10" l, 3 1/2" w, 12" d. This is a perfect size for a notebook, pencils, book, and maybe even a water bottle. Or it could be used as a craft bag to fit your current project.
With this bag I experimented a little with personalizing. The L was a perfect letter to start with since it has straight sides. I also used a thinner strap for this one. The straps on my larger bags are 1 1/2'' while the strap for this size is only 1''. However, either strap could be put on either bag.

This bag is also reversible and the pockets are contrasting an both sides.

A new Experience

Saturday, May 5th, was a busy day! As were the weeks leading up to it. My mom, sisters and I worked together on a booth, which we set up at a women's conference. This was our very first experience selling what we'd already made (as opposed to commissioned work). We had a lot of fun and came away much the wiser. I will, hopefully, be putting items that didn't sell in my Etsy shop in the next week or two.

Blue is one of my favorite colors. So, when I needed to practice a pattern, that's what I went with!

Just above ankle-length

I love the way this pattern flows together.

And the finished dress! :)

I will be wearing this quite a bit this summer! :)

Brown, Blue and Green Diaper Bag

Everyone loves babies, right? I know I do! So I decided to expand a little and try my hand at diaper bag making. Here is what I ended up with. Everything is reversible and machine washable!!!

I had some really cute colors! I made this for a friend who is expecting her first child in a few weeks. She is having a boy, but I also wanted colors that would work for a girl!

I used my pattern for a large messenger bag and  added pockets to the front for those little toys and such that get lost in the bottom. They are also good for momma's stuff too! And it still has the pockets on the side.

This picture gives you a size idea for the front pockets.

Here is a shot of the inside. Lots of room! :)

This is where it hangs on me (I'm 5' 4 1/2").

I really like the way the front pockets turned out!

I also made matching reversible accessories to go with.

This is an envelope shaped case for the nursing blanket.

Here is the nursing blanket next to the case.

I also made a changing pad. I was very pleased with how well it turned out! It was much easier than I had thought it would be!

And here is the entire set! :)

The happy mother-to-be was also pleased.

Purple and blue stripe/ Paisley

Ok, so maybe it's not paisley, but I couldn't think of the pattern name right off.
I did this as a going-away present for a friend who was moving. She is also the one that took these gorgeous  pictures for me. I believe this was the large size which is  12"d x 13"l x 5"w.

This bag is personalized on just the one side.

 I love these colors!

Aren't the pictures amazing? If you want to contact the girl who took these then send me your contact info and I'll pass it on to her.
